Tectonic Memory

Tectonic Memory
Inspired by the slow and powerful formation of the Earth itself, this piece echoes the deep shifts that shape both land and life. It draws from the language of geologic time, where pressure creates form, and what lies beneath eventually rises.
Handwoven in creams, soft greys, and gold fibers, it begins in density and shadow at its base and gently ascends into light, mirroring the inner journey from heaviness to spaciousness, from contraction to quiet expansion.
Each thread traces emotional terrain, the inner plates that press, fracture, and re-align. There is motion here, but also a grounded stillness. A reminder that deep change often begins far below the surface.
Gold threads glimmer through the weave as living memory. They are veins of knowing, calling us back to the truth that even in our most constricted states, we hold light. We do not have to chase it. We only need to remember.
This piece is both map and memory, an honoring of what stirs in the deep and rises slowly toward becoming. It offers a quiet space for reflection and recognition, for feeling the ground move and trusting the emergence of light.
