Living Knowledge I

Living Knowledge I
Among the redwood giants of Northern California, one learns to listen by standing still long enough for something ancient to speak. The forest reveals itself as a living whole, where nothing stands alone and everything is held.
Strength here is not asserted. It grows from depth, from roots intertwined beneath the surface, from time measured in centuries rather than moments. The trees endure storms not by resisting them, but by belonging to one another.
In this place, knowledge is not accumulated. It is lived, passed through connection, patience, and shared ground. One breathes among the trees and remembers how to belong. Among the trees, there is no need to perform. There is only breath, reverence, and presence.
This work is handwoven and painted in response to that living knowledge.
