Allowing Love
A recent trip to my home country, Romania sparked a tender heart-opening that made me realize how little guidance we have for the brave work of receiving love.
In front of my father’s resting ground I was overcome by a vast outpouring of love, asking nothing but to be received. As I spoke the Love card from the Whole Again Deck, new layers of a felt understanding came through.
By pushing away those who once hurt us, or could not meet us in a way we wanted to be met, we unknowingly shut out their love too.
When we close the door to love, we close the door to the very thing we long for most.
Expanding our capacity to love is how we grow. Allowing ourselves to be loved is how we heal.
Underneath the suffering we see in the world lies love. A love that failed to reach someone, whether it was never given or got lost along the way.
LOVE IS ALWAYS THERE even when we cannot feel it. What we experience as pain is often a distortion from love, twisted by fear or misunderstanding.
Healing isn’t about reconciling through the mind. It’s about reconnecting through the heart, where love has never stopped flowing.
To experience life with integrity is to feel, not to analyze. Love is not a concept to manage, but a presence to receive.
Maybe the purpose of all heartbreaks and pain is to crack us open so we may allow more love to come through. And with more love in our hearts we start to embody who we really are ~ clear sparks of the divine.
Inner work helps us build the strength not to guard, but to stay open, knowing we can choose to keep the love and let go of what no longer serves.
Our capacity to love is far greater than we realize. Our hearts are made for loving.
Wishing you much love in your heart.
